Or so I am assuming....I was just there this afternoon maybe an hour ago. (Im fortunate to not live that far away, depending on traffic) I came in the store and went down the escalator to get to the area where the Historical Dolls are normally housed. Not paying attention, I turn the corner to enter the room and more or less walked into a wall. Lol thats what I get for not paying attention. The guy behind me started laughing. Anyways the sign was like "Blocked off for Renovation" The only section open downstairs was the hallways and the small room right outside the entrance of the theatre They had tried to cram everything in there and it was just mas chaos!!! I do think it makes a lot of sence for them to revamp the area as when AGPC was built I don't think they left enough room for their ever growing collection. (Pleasant Company to Mattel can do that to a place). Im hoping their new design will accomadate all of the dolls collections in order including the new friend dolls each year. Despite the chaos I am quite excited to see the finish product. I do not know when construction began....? Does anyone know when the new area will be open? I did not go upstairs to the AGOT section but I do think Sam's new outfit and bike are adorable. If I was still collecting her items I would buy them in a second.

I did get Felicity's Stable set and have yet to opened it....I wonder if I will have enough room on my shelf. I have run out of wall space in the bacement so if anyone has any ideas about condensing displays to make more room that would be great!!! I also got the new Felicity mystery book (Im not sure how new it is...) which is the only Felicity story I don't own. Finally, I had to get a AG hairbrush for my cat. She kicked it off my shelf and started rubbing her chin against it the next morning. I tried to get her to use her old hairbrush but she would refuse. Silly kitty...what am I going to do with her?

If you are there after the renovations are done, please take pictures. The Felicity mystery came out on Valentine's Day.

I was at AGPC Feb. 24 and it was not under construction then. The former Angelina/HHS room is being made into a doll hair salon but that was it. They renovated the main floor recently, maybe they are making the historical floor look more in the style of the main store. I Can't wait to see whatever it is!

I sure hope the construction is all done by this weekend! I only get to AGPC once a year, and I'd hate to miss seeing the Historical displays--that's my favorite part!

Actually they are getting a face lift due to the sewer backing up recently and flooding out the building.
